The Sabbath of Hashem

According to Hashem YAHWEH, Sabbath is the seventh day he rested from his creation

Genesis 2:1-2
And the heaven and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God finished His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.

As for chosen people Sabbath has a different meaning, according to the voice of Hashem we commemorate Sabbath due to a second rest of Hashem when He disengaged with the world for a laps of time, from the year 94 BCE to year 72 BCE as a period of naught, it was a period of 21 years that is why on Sabbath, we keep 21 hours in memory of naught time according to HASHEM's will.

We all abide to follow all the instructions to be people of Hashem YAHWEH as our only God, to conform to him with a faithful heart and to be known as Hashem's people

Ezekiel 20:20
20 and hallow My sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that ye may know that I am HASHEM your God.

Prohibition of the day of Hashem (Sabbath)

It is prohibited to work on Sabbath due to the law given by Hashem YAHWEH and it is appropriate to respect it because Sabbath is the day of blessing and sanctification.

Exodus 20:8-11 
8 Then the nations cried out against him On every side from the provinces; And they spread their net over him, He was taken in their pit. 9 And they put him in a cage with hooks, And brought him to the king of Babylon; That they might bring him into strongholds, So that his voice should no more be heard Upon the mountains of Israel. 10 Thy mother was like a vine, in thy likeness, Planted by the waters; She was fruitful and full of branches By reason of many waters. 
11 And she had strong rods To be sceptres for them that bore rule; And her stature was exalted Among the thick branches, And she was seen in her height With the multitude of her tendrils. 

We are recommended to know that to be considered as part of people of Hashem. First of all by respecting Sabbath, and whoever not hearken to this law is not part of Hashem YAHWEH and he shall be put to death.

Exodus 31:16 (Numbers 28:9)
16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

You shall not kindle a fire on Sabbath

Exodus 35:3
3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.’ 

On Sabbath you must stay home until the day is over and abstain any desire of transaction

Isaiah 58:13 
13 If thou turn away thy foot because of the sabbath, From pursuing thy business on My holy day; And call the sabbath a delight, And the holy of HASHEM honourable; And shalt honour it, not doing thy wonted ways, Nor pursuing thy business, nor speaking thereof;

You shouldn't carry burden or do heavy work at home

Jeremiah 17:22 
22 neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work; but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers;

Sanctification

Sanctify the day of Sabbath by not involving in any way which can corrupt your body or your mind (argument)

Deuteronomy 5:12  (Isaiah 56:2)
12 Observe the sabbath day, to keep it holy, as HASHEM thy God commanded thee

Exodus 19:10-11
10 And HASHEM said unto Moses: ‘Go unto the people, and sanctify them to-day and to-morrow, and let them wash their garments, 11 and be ready against the third day; for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

Beware with the day of Sabbath don't be weary to avoid to be shameful and troubling day on Sabbath day. As faithful and whole-hearted to our God refrain your temptation and abide with Hashem YAHWEH commandment to have a prosperous and blessed day.
